Zach and Alex met their freshman year at Wharton. After graduating, they ended up at exciting jobs where catered lunch was a regular – albeit unimaginative – benefit. They knew something was clearly missing: it didn’t make sense to sit at their desks eating the same boring sandwiches and salads every day, when authentic, local up-and-coming chefs and neighborhood gems were only steps away from the office.
Inspired by San Francisco's thriving farmers' markets and growing local food scene, they decided it was time to revamp office lunch by opening up access to this amazing wealth of local food, and focusing meal time around building relationships with colleagues. Since launching in 2010, Cater2.me has helped thousands of companies transform their culture through shared meals, while exposing hundreds of thousands of their employees to authentic, local food. At the same time, the connections we’ve made have helped thousands of restaurants, chefs, and food trucks reach new audiences, grow their businesses, and continually expand their menus to reflect the changing tastes of their customers
