About Val's Restaurant & Lounge
Val's Restaurant and Lounge welcomes diners the same way you would welcome friends to your home. For over four decades, Val's is an icon for fine dining in Northern California. With the retro-cool decor of leatherette booths, dark woodwork and great fireplace, guests wouldn't want it any other way.
Val's was founded in the 1950's and taken over by the Taylor family in 1975.
Serving good old-fashioned American food including steaks and prime rib, and everyone should try Val's rack of lamb at least once in their life. A full rack is a pound of deliciously marinated meat and bone - there is no fat on these babies. Meals come with pasta or potatoes and fresh seasonal vegetables, and all of the meat and produce are locally grown.
For non-red-meat-eaters, there's also chicken and seafood on the menu, plus daily specials at both lunch and dinner. To wash it all down, choose from a nice selection of mostly California wines. Head chef Ignacio Anaya has kept the kitchen churning out one high quality dish after another for over 25 years. Members of the professional staff have all been with Val's for many years.
Almost any time of the day and night, you will see owners Jeff and Greg Taylor tending bar or turning it over to 15 year veteran bartender Don while they talk with customers and make sure they receive the highest quality service and food they expect each and every time they visit. Val's is open all holidays except Christmas. Our Sports Bar, Happy Hour, Live Karaoke and Early Dinner Specials, make Val's a great place any time you choose to eat out.
