1991 was a big year: the Soviet Union fell, the Internet was made available to the masses and in a little corner of the world at 514 Main Street in Evanston, The Lucky Platter was born!
Our mission has always been to excite your palette and your senses with our creative take on comfort classics such as Yankee Pot Roast with mashed potatoes and baby bok choy, to our Chicken Pot Pie with pulled chicken and ratatouille baked in a flaky crust. All of our breads, pastries, sauces (the list goes on) are made from scratch daily by our staff, some of whom have been with us for over a decade
We enjoy shaking things up and our menus reflect that. Changing seasons and evolving inspiration make it so our guests can always count on something new popping up.
As one of the hottest brunch restaurants around, people crowd in to start their weekend days off with a menu that is like no other! Our food is as diverse as the guests who enjoy it. Where else can you find Fried Green Tomato Benedicts and Apple Ricotta Blintzes alongside your basic Eggs Any Style? And you can wash it down with a Classic or Pomegranate Mimosa every Saturday and Sunday
