Sibby Ross Thomsen founded Sibby’s Cupcakery in 2004 with the mission of providing joy and happiness to her customers and community. She perfected her cupcake recipes on the side during a 10-year career in advertising. Some of her favorite memories of those days were the mocha-torte lunches she frequently enjoyed with friends, who were often the recipients of her elaborate birthday cake creations.
Sibby began her baking career at age 4, making blueberry-peach pies with her mother in Topeka, Kansas. She serves on the board of the San Francisco Bakers Dozen, a non-profit organization for Bay Area baking professionals and enthusiasts.
