La Petite Folie Restaurant:
La Petite Folie is a Michelin Guide Recommended restaurant featured as a Bib Gourmand recommendation for great cuisine at a reasonable price. From the 2011 Michelin Guide, "the kitchen cooks up classic French fare made with the best seasonal, local ingredients available", where "dinner can be a bargain during the $32 three-course prix-fixe... Classic salads and flaky dessert tarts are sure to please even the most ardent francophiles". The Bib Gourmand designation denotes excellent cuisine at a reasonable price, defined as “Inspectors’ Favorites for Good Value”
Situated in the courtyard of the Hyde Park Shopping Center, La Petite Folie offers classic french food and wine for lunch and dinner. Owners Michael and Mary Mastricola are University of Chicago alumni and Hyde Park residents. In 1995, Mary earned the Grand Diplomen of L'Ecole Cordon Bleu in Paris, finishing first in her class. Mary runs the kitchen while Michael directs and the dining room and manages our all-French wine list.
From 5:00-6:30 pm daily, we offer a changing prix fixe 3 course menu designed to speed you on your way to the opera, symphony, theater or to any of the evening cultural events that Hyde Park and the city of Chicago offer.

You can also choose La Petite Folie for your venue. Available for private events, our western dining room can accommodate up to 28 for lunch or dinner, or choose to reserve the entire restaurant for up to 64 guests.
