Our Story

We chose the name Grassroots because it clearly communicates the direction we are headed in. We want to get “back to basics” with the food, the décor, and the service. We plan to work with a number of Michigan farmers headed up by the Franks’ farm. Our menu features simple, farm to table comfort food that’s well executed. Entrees like Chicken and dumplings, traditional beef brisket, pork ribs with a cherry BBQ sauce are all on the menu along with sandwiches and pizzas! Yes, 12” pizzas will become an integral part of our new menu with our new 900 degree pizza oven cooking pizzas in a matter of minutes. Our service will remain as it’s always been: warm, welcoming, friendly servers offering professional yet empathic service.
