TRUSTED SMALL, LOCAL GROWERS
We believe in supporting small growers and helping our planet by minimizing our carbon footprint. Staying local also ensures we maintain a strong connection with our growers and millers. We have spent years developing ongoing relationships with their farms and families. We tour their orchards and mills and select only the finest producers. The result is transparency and authenticity in everything you buy.
We also offer a handful of international extra virgin olive oils from small producers we have established and trusted relationships with.
Store owner, Janell Pekkain, is active with the standard-setting California Olive Oil Council and a member of the organization’s Sensory Panel. She also completed an intensive development seminar with the Organizzazione Nazionale Assaggiatori Olio de Oliva and was awarded a certificate in Sensory Aptitude.
A passionate advocate for olive oils as well as good, simple, clean food, Janell personally sources all the oils and vinegars at Olive This Olive That. She believes that delicious olive oils should not be a luxury or a specialty item but rather a ubiquitous fresh ingredient in all kitchens.
