Our philosophy of teaching is based on an eclectic developmental approach. At Learning to Leap we believe that children learn and grow holistically. Each child learns and grows at their own unique pace in their physical, cognitive and social-emotional domains.
The teachers at LTL are here to help your child grow in a truly child-centered, and educationally rich environment with teacher facilitation of their learning. Here is where children’s voices are heard, valued and guided.
We use a blend of child development theories from different theorists such as Erikson, Piaget, Montessori, Vygotsky, and Reggio Emilia, in addition to many others in our child centered eclectic approach to child centered learning. Not every child learns in the same way, or at the same pace.
With appropriate teacher facilitation, and guided emergent curriculum, children can grow exponentially, and can reach the stars.
The Teachers at LTL spend time making observations and assess the children’s strengths and challenges and then through play/work interactions the teachers are able to create engaging educational and play based curriculum that will meet each child’s learning style and needs.
