Bee-Well Farms, LLC is a new farm in Sonoma County. We produce and sell a range of wholesome, diversified products for the local community, while using a holistic management approach to enhance the land and farm ecosystem.
Bee-Well Farms, LLC is a multi-faceted farm business focused on sustainable growth and sustainable agriculture. Its prime location in the heart Glen Ellen, California, alongside the scenic Highway 12 will offer the local community and tourists a one stop shop for farm fresh foods. The business operates on approximately 50 acres of prolific land, producing seasonal goods such as pastured beef, eggs, flowers, and a wide variety of fresh produce. They are dedicated to producing an abundance of local foods, enriching the land, and helping to restore the integrity and transparency of today’s food system.
Bee-Well Farms will be offering a variety of seasonal products, featuring Animal Welfare Approved (AWA) certified grass fed & grass finished beef, (AWA) certified pastured chicken eggs, and an array of seasonal produce and flowers. Using the direct to consumer method of marketing eliminates the need for a middleman and increase profit margins.
Bee-Well Farms targets the growing market segment of individual consumers in Sonoma County. They will sell their products seasonally at 4 farmers markets throughout Sonoma County, at their on-site farm stand, and through a CSA Membership program for quarterly cash flow. Establishing multiple outlets will allow them sell the majority of perishables good in a timely and presentable fashion, ensuring the freshest products for their consumers.
The Management team consists of husband and wife owners, Austin Lely and Melissa Lely. They met at California State University, Chico, while achieving their B.S. Degrees in Recreation Administration, with emphasize of study in the special events and tourism industries. Austin has a diverse background including experience in construction from KP Lely Company, ranching from Sonoma Mt. Hereford, marketing and sales from Finepoint Marketing, and viticulture, hospitality, agrotourism, sustainability, and ranch management experience from Benziger Winery. Missy has obtained over 10 years of sales and hospitality experience from multiple hotels, wineries, and restaurants. She also has experience with planning and executing special events through her time with the sustainability collaborative at CSU, Chico and Finepoint marketing, as well as 3 years of farming experience on the Gordenker Ranch and agrotourism experience from her time working at Beltane Ranch.
The mission of Bee-Well Farms is to provide a healthy and sustainable food source for our community and all of its guests. We use ecologically sound agricultural practices to produce an array of seasonal foods and offer educational experiences. We are passionate stewards of the land, who are driven to produce high quality, nutrient dense foods, and enlighten the modern day consumer. We challenge the public to become the change they would like to see, beginning locally then expanding.
