About Plaza de las Flores
MISSION OF FAITH AND COMPASSION
Providing Affordable Quality Housing in Caring Communities
VISION OF HUMANITY
Transforming communities by fostering human dignity, mutual respect, personal independence, and supportive environments
HISTORY OF COMMITMENT
In 1961, when a group of affordable housing visionaries began creating the template for what is now known as CCH, there were no press conferences, no official announcements, no blog and no tweet to herald its formation. Yet, from the very beginning and throughout its five decades of history, there have been four key components worth shouting about: vision, commitment, partnerships and caring.
Having served over 100,000 residents in the course of 50 years, CCH continues to collaborate with national, regional and local government agencies, investors and donors to build more affordable housing for our growing senior population.
ADVOCACY FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING
Advocating for senior services and affordable housing is critical especially during uncertain economic times. CCH and two other nonprofits take concerned seniors to Sacramento annually. Our committed Advocators also participate in phone calling campaigns to local, state and federal legislators as pertinent issues that impact the lives of seniors arise.
OUR CARING COMMUNITIES
Basic overview of CCH communities:
Median annual income of residents at CCH communities is 20 to 60 percent of Area Median Income (AMI)
The age range of our residents is 55 to 80 years
CCH currently manages over 50 communities housing over 5,000 residents in six states
