Who are we, anyways??
Christina and Peter opened The Butcher’s Son in February 2016 on University Avenue in Downtown Berkeley, California.
The brother-sister duo grew up in the restaurant business, both working at their dad’s American-style diner, Michael’s Vegetarian Restaurant, in their teens.
With an aim to provide nostalgic comfort food without a trace of animals, The Butcher’s Son has become a favorite amongst vegans and non-vegans alike.
We serve delicious food that everyone can enjoy.
