It all started in 2011 when Casey Allred traveled from the US to India for the first time as a college student to learn more about global education. Moved by that experience Casey dedicated the next eight years to opening high-quality schools at an affordable price to lift children out of poverty through his nonprofit, Effect.org
In 2018 Casey, Shyam Lohat & Sushil Shrestha were working together at Effect.org and were conducting research into the US education system. They knew they could successfully take their experience of operating high-quality, yet affordable, schools to the US education market.
At the same time, Shyam was worried about finding a quality preschool for his first child. He couldn’t find any good source of information that could help him evaluate what schools were of high quality. This experience drove all three of them to realize there was a better way to find affordable child care and support in-home school providers.
Casey, Shyam, and Sushil designed Ivy School, a mission-aligned company to increase access to high-quality early childhood care for children. For every child who goes through Ivy School in the US, we fund a student in need to attend school in a developing nation. It's our long-term commitment to ensure every child has access to quality education.
